Style Guide Review

An Analysis of Strunk and White Through a Creative Editing Lens

To enhance my familiarity with style guides across the editorial world, I composed this in-depth analysis of Strunk and White’s The Elements of Style, attributed as one of the major style guides in the editing industry and the guide most other guides borrow basic rules from. In my review, I ensured the analysis discussed not only what the style guide discussed, but also who it targets as its audience and how the guide should be used. I employed my analysis of this classic style guide to highlight its guidelines, general pieces of advice, and the role that each section continues to uphold in the business today.
