My Published Research
Apart from my record of diligent editorial work, I’m proud to hold a solid history of awarded research publications to my name. These include:
“Filtered Cultures: Confronting Latinx Diversity in the Publishing Industry” - Independent Research Project as LEAD Scholar at the University of Central Florida
Explored and recommended solutions for the internal lack of Latinx diversity in the publishing industry.
Presented research statistics, facts, and recommendations in a poster presentation before a panel of UCF scholars.
Recognized by the judges with a Book Scholarship Award for outstanding independent research as part of the Latinx Leadership Program.
“Maritime Lacunae” - Honors Undergraduate Thesis at the University of Central Florida
Dissected and analyzed existing examples of immigrant poetry from around the world, closely documenting the techniques different poets apply and what these techniques contribute to the general conversation on immigration.
Composed a chapbook of my immigrant poetry, putting several of these techniques into practice and successfully bringing new perspectives to the topic of immigration as reflected in the world of poetry.
Recognized by the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College with their Outstanding Creative Project Award.
